(Treasury) Product Controller

Your Role

We are looking for an enthusiasticProduct Controller who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative team and is motivated to improve processes and accelerate execution. As a Product controller, you have affinity with and experience in both Accounting and Product Control. You have a strong Treasury product knowledge (incl. derivatives and hedging), and you have material experience with relevant IFRS accounting principles and accounting processes.

 

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Front Office, and Mid Office, and play an active role in both daily operations and longer‑term improvements.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily accounting activities and product control
  • Preparing and reviewing daily and monthly financial reports
  • Analyzing figures, explaining variances, and providing insights
  • Coordinating with Front Office and Mid Office to ensure accurate reporting
  • Participating in cross‑functional teams and representing Finance in projects
  • Supporting projects during design, testing, and implementation phases

Our Offer

  • Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 80-95K (based on 40 hours/ week, including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month) depending on your seniority, years of relevant experience, and background 

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week 

  • Pension scheme, partly paid by FMO 

  • 31 holidays 

  • Hybrid way of working (50/50). 

  • Working remotely abroad for maximum 60 days in a rolling period of 12 months.

Your Team

The Finance and Control team is part of the Finance, Impact Reporting & Measurement  department. The team consists of ~20 professionals, who are in charge of daily Accounting, Financial Control and Finance Transformation. Due to the organization and team’s international and diverse nature, communication is primarily in English.

Your Background

Financial markets are constantly evolving, requiring fresh insights and high‑quality analysis. In addition, IT requirements and external regulations continue to change. In this dynamic environment, we value professionals who bring ideas and creativity that help us improve and move forward.

 

To succeed in this role, you bring a solid professional foundation and strong technical expertise. You are comfortable working with complex financial data and understand the mechanisms behind the numbers.

 

You have:

  • A Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Controlling, or a similar field
    (HBO Accountancy, SPD, or equivalent is also considered)
  • At least 7+ years of experience in Finance, Banking, or Audit
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes, and standards
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks and accounting processes
  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping in a multi‑currency environment
  • The ability to analyze balance sheet and P&L movements and key drivers
  • Experience with financial products, including derivatives and hedge accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
